S/V Hearts Content: Slipping the Lines

Ah, here we go.  A handy place to put a summary.  Clever devils, those WordPress people!

The banner picture shows the Hunter 37 sailboat we bought in Mazatlan, Mexico in 2009.  We found that we could not use it enough to warrant the cost of keeping it there.  We also figured out that we could not afford to ship it back to the Canadian west coast, nor could we afford to take the time to sail it back at that point.   So, in 2012, we sold it in Mazatlan.  By then we had moved to Thunder Bay, Ontario so we looked around and found a smaller version of the same boat, a Hunter 27, and here we are.  The plan is minimize our life enough to allow us to sail south, via the Great Lakes and the New York canal system seasonally at least and possibly on a permanent basis.
